Greenmount LLC v. Cleanline Management, Nick Coburn
Dear California Cannabis Community,
My name is Nick Coburn, and I’ve recently launched my own line of artisan cannabis vaping cartridges known as Flavorade, featuring the truest and freshest flavors that cannabis has to offer — Vape Carts from the Flavor Gods. I believe they are truly the tastiest vape carts on the market, and I have been thrilled by the positive reception from the community of cannabis connoisseurs. I work with with licensed cannabis manufacturer Cleanline Management LLC to bring this new delectable creation to retailers across the great State of California.
Success often breeds jealousy. Before launching Flavorade, I served as the Director of Operations and Sales at Greenmount LLC, creating and building the ColdFire brand of cannabis extracts. On December 14, 2023, Greenmount LCC brought a lawsuit in federal court seeking to forcibly stop me and Cleanline from continuing to offer our already-highly successful Flavorade line of cannabis vaping products to the California market. Claiming that I have stolen trade secrets (without even identifying any legitimate “trade secret” that it claims was stolen), Greenmount is asking a federal judge to order that all Flavorade products be seized and destroyed and bar cannabis enthusiasts across California from accessing Flavorade’s tasty and fresh flavors. This recent legal action taken against me is baseless.
Greenmount apparently believes that it cannot compete in the open market against the quality of Flavorade, so it is trying to use the legal system as a weapon to achieve its goal of stifling competition. I categorically deny Greenmount’s recent allegations of trade secret theft. I have always been committed to ethical business practices and prioritized innovation, integrity, and fair competition within the cannabis industry. I vehemently reject any claims suggesting otherwise.
I am grateful for the increased attention Greenmount has brought to my new Flavorade brand, which has already caught the California cannabis market by storm. I intend to vigorously defend myself against these allegations and am confident that the legal process will ultimately demonstrate my commitment to operating with the utmost integrity.
